John established Reyment Photographics in the early 1990′s and has led the studio to be one of Brisbane’s leading high profile wedding photography studios.

The editors of Brisbane Bride Magazine judged John to be the “Brisbane Bride Magazine 2008 Wedding Photographer of the Year”.

Major long term photographic influences for John include the works of famous French photographers Henri Cartier Bresson and Robert Doisneau. The documentary style of Australia’s own David Oliver has also inspired John greatly.

John has photographed throughout Australia and Europe. People watching with his camera is a favourite pastime, seeing a quaint Italian piaza come alive with locals in the cool of the evening is one of John’s favourite subjects. Some of the images in this site have come from John’s international work. John’s travel images have been published in travel articles in Luxury Travel Magazine, Notebook Magazine, The Sunday Mail Escape, The Courier Mail ETC and b mag Brisbane’s largest lifestyle magazine, ABC “Life etc” magazine. John’s images have also featured on the SBS Food website.

John is a Master of Photography with the AIPP and has won many print awards through the AIPP. John is the 2010 Epson Qld Documentary Photographer of the Year.

He is an accomplished presenter (skills learnt in earlier careers of management consulting and training and development are never wasted!) and has been a presenter at numerous photography conferences and seminars throughout Australia.

John’s personal interests include his family, travel, food and wine and V8 Supercars; he is a dedicated Holden fan who makes the “pilgrimage” to the V8 Supercars Bathurst 1000 when his busy schedule permits.
